Best place to get coffee.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gill’s Rock Coffee and Antiques and was blown away by their delicious sugar-free latte. This cozy little coffee shop offers a unique blend of caffeine and antiques, with a friendly owner who even gifted our daughter a toy from the store. Unfortunately, the toy didn’t last long, as she managed to break it within 10 minutes of being in the car. Despite this small setback, I highly recommend stopping by Gill’s for a tasty coffee and a browse through their charming antiques.

After leaving Door County Brewing Company, we drove for 17 minutes to see the Canal Lighthouse, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to see it. The weather started to change, and more people were waiting for the wagon to cross the lake to Canal Island. With a toddler in tow, we decided to cut our losses and skip the visit altogether, as she had become impatient and had had enough of the stops.

Where to eat?
We enjoyed a delicious fish fry at Peninsula Pub, an excellent spot for socializing and relaxation, suitable for children, with efficient service, a welcoming server, and fantastic cuisine.

Door 44 Winery is the top spot for wine tasting in Door County. My visit to the winery included trying iced wine for the first time, and the knowledgeable staff and beautiful location added to the experience.

We love to go camping and travel on a budget. Our latest adventure took us to Potawatomi State Park, where we reserved a tent site for only $15 per night.
