We kick off the hike it baby 30 challenge today and hiked in devils lake, we explored the west bluff trail, we got in 3.5 miles. My favorite daughter didn’t wanna Hike today do I carried her for 2 hours woot for the strongest brave mom, those were the words from awesome hikes we saw on the trail, it was 75 degrees so humid, Wisconsin I love you but ugh…the trial was very busy and very slippery because of the rain. We had a fun adventure.
Devils lake have two entrances to the park south shore and north shore, we usually come through south shore, for this hike plan on parking at the boat launch parking lot and take the west bluff after you cross the street or begin from the tumbled rock.use this coordinates for this parking lot 43.4128589,-89.7400044
From the tumbled rock trail, it’s paved and Flat you hike on a narrow trail along the lake. suitable for toddlers and dogs.
The other side of the trial its pretty steep, and Rocky, watch you kids and keep an eye on them, you will be climbing stairs for a while its moderate.Once you get on top it’s pretty gorgeous, this hike is rewarding, its a great workout but bring enough water, its 10 ft elevation.
We made it after 2 hrs of wondering with a toddler, always bring a bug spray when you go hiking in Wisconsin.
All vehicles require a Wisconsin state sticker to park or pay $8 for day use.
