West bluff trail!

We kick off the hike it baby 30 challenge today and hiked in Devils Lake, we explored the west bluff trail, and we got in 3.5 miles. My favorite daughter didn’t wanna Hike today I carried her for 2 hours woot for the strongest brave mom, those were the words from awesome hikes we saw on the trail, it was 75 degrees so humid, Wisconsin I love you but ugh…the trial was very busy and very slippery because of the rain. We had a fun adventure.

Devils Lake has two entrances to the park south shore and north shore, we usually come through the south shore, for this hike plan on parking at the boat launch parking lot and take the west bluff after you cross the street or begin from the tumbled rock. use these coordinates for this parking lot 43.4128589,-89.7400044

From the tumbled rock trail, it’s paved and Flat you hike on a narrow trail along the lake. suitable for toddlers and dogs.

The other side of the trial is pretty steep, and Rocky, watch your kids and keep an eye on them, you will be climbing stairs for a while its moderate.Once you get on top it’s pretty gorgeous, this hike is rewarding, it’s a great workout but bring enough water, it’s 10 ft elevation.

We made it after 2 hrs of wondering with a toddler, always bring a bug spray when you go hiking in Wisconsin.

All vehicles require a Wisconsin state sticker to park or pay $8 for day use.
