1. Olbrich Beach, previously known as Lake Front Park, encompasses 16 acres of land and is one of Madison’s largest lakefront parks. Additionally, it offers picnic spots and playgrounds nearby, making it an excellent place to spend the entire day having fun. 2. James Madison Park Beach is the perfect spot for a serene day by the water. Located on the beautiful Lake Mendota and owned by the city of Madison, this beach offers a designated swimming area. However, it’s important to note that no restrooms, swim ropes, or lifeguards are on duty. Remember to pack a delicious picnic to enjoy the sunset with your family. The address is 614 E. Gorham St., and street parking is available. Amenities include picnic tables, a playground, and a volleyball court.
3. Tenney Park Beach: If you’re looking for a more laid-back and calming family outing, Tenney Park Beach on Lake Mendota is an ideal spot. The calm waters are perfect for a relaxing swim, and the beach is an excellent place to build sandcastles or explore the nearby park. It’s an ideal spot for a relaxing day by the water.
