Burke Park is a local community park located in Dane County. When we first moved here in January 2017, we enjoyed the gravel trail; it’s a 0.78 mi loop and can be completed within 45 min at a toddler’s pace. There is a great playground and a toy train area that kids can play in; there is also a picturesque island and covered bridge. Most local photographers use the area for a photo shoot, so it gets hectic in the afternoon in the summer with weddings.

This park is fantastic: Hills, tall trees, hiking/ ski trails wind through woods and prairie. The pond filled with fish. Tall hill over the pond. Burke Park is stroller-friendly and has an accessible entrance.
It is excellent for hosting events since it has two restrooms and a shelter. I highly recommend this park to families enjoying the great, easy outdoors.
