The family ventured out to Door County for camping and hiking. The Hike It Baby 30 challenge motivated us to get up north and explore new trails.
We picked an easy, short trail that was suitable for the whole family; we explored the lake trail leading to the cave point. We covered 1.5 miles round trip; it was such a beautiful day to be outdoors, 60 degrees, and there weren’t any bugs.
We must agree that this scenery was the most beautiful; we felt we were on vacation somewhere else. Wisconsin is beautiful.
For this hike, we carried our daughter, and she could walk for the most part; the trial was rugged and not smooth; you can easily twist your ankle if you’re not watching.
Whitefish Dunes is the most beautiful park in Door County.
The best time to visit is the summer because you can jump in Lake Michigan and cool off. See if you love nature and the outdoors. The scenery is picturesque because of the blue-colored water, big waves, and rocky cliffs.
I highly recommend this park to all families; add it to your bucket list; we plan to return in the winter, and we heard the icicles and caves are gorgeous.
All vehicles require a Wisconsin state park, or you can pay a daily fee of $8.
They have a vast parking lot and good facilities. We had fun.
