Hey winter warriors!
Happy Friday! Can you believe we’re nearly through another week of January? Whether you’re enjoying the snow or enduring the polar vortex, this season brings opportunities to find joy like our upcoming winter retreat.
Speaking of snow, how about that blanket of white earlier this week? It felt like Mother Nature redecorated overnight! That shift set the tone for my next adventure: I set out for a group hike but ended up solo. It turned into a beautiful experience.
When a group hike turns into a solo walk, why not use it as a chance to enjoy nature? Walking alone in the winter woods let me be fully present, noticing details I might miss in a crowd. For those who haven’t tried it, time outdoors in solitude fosters a unique peace. The quiet, fresh air, and sunlight on snowy branches made me reflect on how much I value these small, beautiful moments, even more so alone. Who else is practicing forest bathing in Wisconsin, I would like to Connect?
Braving the Polar Vortex
I know some of you were as excited about the snow as I was. The frosty air whipped against my face with each step, and for a moment, I could feel winter’s challenge. Then I saw all those “breaking in the snowshoes!” posts, and my heart did a happy dance. Nothing beats the crunch of fresh snow under your feet, am I right?
Then the polar vortex hit! Who else has been sprinting from car to house? My warm socks have never felt better.
Upcoming Winter Retreat
I’m excited to share the main event: tomorrow I’m headed out for a Frozen Tundra retreat at the farm! This isn’t just any winter getaway; it’s designed to help us find real joy in these colder months. Located across from Governor Dodge State Park, it’s the perfect place to embrace winter together.
I’ll be joining a group of women who enjoy winter activities and are always curious. We have a full schedule to help us forget any winter sadness. Imagine quiet time in nature, visiting a stunning frozen waterfall, warming up in a cedar sauna, and relaxing with group yoga sessions.
But it’s not just about our activities. This retreat is about connecting with nature, ourselves, and each other. It’s a chance to take a break from daily routines and rediscover winter’s magic in Wisconsin.
Embracing the Winter Months
These winter retreats have changed things for many of the women I’ve met and for me. January and February can be hard for many, but retreats like this support well-being. Last year, I saw firsthand how they lift moods, foster connection, encourage movement, and help us rediscover the beauty of winter. If you’re looking to truly enjoy the colder months, join a winter retreat to experience these powerful benefits.
Spots for future retreats are filling up fast! Want to join us? Just visit [
