Hitting Reset: Community Hike at Cherokee Marsh This Saturday

Finding Our Ground When the World Feels Uncertain: Join Us Tomorrow
Happy Friday, everyone.
This week has felt especially long.
With so much going on in the world, it’s easy to feel weighed down and unsure of what to do or say. Sometimes we hold onto that stress without noticing.
Still, this morning I remembered the promise we made to ourselves at the start of the year: to spend more time outside, enjoy fresh air, and connect with each other.

We still have a chance to start fresh.

Honestly, I think we need a reset now more than ever. We all deserve a break from screens and constant news. Let’s get lost in the woods, breathe in the pine, and listen to the snow under our feet. We deserve to clear our minds and enjoy nature together, not just online but side by side on the trail.
Yesterday’s cold made me want to stay inside, but today, with snow in the forecast, friends started texting me, asking, “Where are we hiking?”
That bit of excitement was just what I needed. The world feels heavy, but being in nature helps. Doing it together makes it even better.

Let’s plan to meet and hike together tomorrow morning. Will you join us and make this a shared experience?Come join us to let go of the week’s stress and reconnect on the snowy trail. If you’d like to come, No need to RSVP just follow your HEART in the morning when you wake up.

Here are the details for Saturday’s community hike:

  • When: Tomorrow, Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. In case of severe weather, we will reschedule the hike to ensure everyone’s safety. We will send out a notification via email and text in the morning should there be any changes.
  • Where: Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park, North Unit.
  • The plan: We’ll take an easy, short hike—about 3 miles, which should take around 2 hours. You’ll still have plenty of time left in your day. Just come out and enjoy the fresh air with us.
  • What to bring: Please dress for winter! If you have Yaktrax, hiking poles, or snowshoes, bring them along. We’re not sure what the trail will be like, so it’s better to have them just in case. If you don’t have everything, don’t worry—there will be extra gear to share, and we can make do. The main thing is to come and enjoy the time together.
  • Unfortunately Pets are not allowed in this area.

If you can’t make it tomorrow, or if you are looking for more ways to stay motivated this season, I have two resources to help you keep that promise to yourself:

1. Need a Place to Start? If you want to explore more of Wisconsin’s beauty but have no clue where to begin, I created my handmade Wisconsin State Park scratch-off posters just for you. All you have to do is grab one, hang it up, and plan your next adventure. It takes the guesswork out of “where should we go?” Plus, if you have an Outdoorsy friend you want to inspire, this makes the perfect gift to get them outside with you.

2. Need a Deeper Reset? If a morning hike isn’t enough and you need a full weekend to recharge, our Winter Retreats are officially LIVE! These are designed for deep connection and restoration. Please do not wait to secure your spot—spaces are limited and won’t last long.
