Today was gorgeous, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures at a comfortable 75 degrees in Daytona Beach. I came here for the first time with my family, including my three-year-old child. While Orlando has many attractions, we decided to skip the theme parks and took a day trip to Daytona Beach to explore.
We parked our car for only $5 the entire day and took out a stroller to begin our adventure. There are several waterside playgrounds in the area, so we brought a towel and wore clothes that we wouldn’t mind getting wet. We strolled along the Riverfront Shops and walked along the Boardwalk, admiring the stunning ocean views.
For some added excitement, we purchased family tickets for $20, which allowed us to go on six kiddie rides. It was so much fun! After a long walk, we were ready to refuel and grabbed lunch at Joe’s Crab Shack. We took full advantage of the beautiful weather and dined outside by the ocean while enjoying delicious crab legs.
Our trip to Daytona Beach was a great experience, and we’re already planning our next visit. Next time, we hope to stay at the Hilton by the ocean, which should provide incredible sunrise and sunset views. As a NASCAR family, we also hope to attend the Daytona 500 one day, so there’s another trip in the future.
