Hey Adventure Family,
This past Earth Day, I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Eight miles on the Lodi Segment of the Ice Age Trail with my husband Bryce and a group of people who showed up without being asked twice. We are training hard for our Dolomites trip in Italy this June, and I will be honest — there is no better training than miles with people who make you forget you are working. The views. The conversation. The gratitude. I could not have asked for a better day.
That morning reminded me of something I want to say out loud: Wisconsin Adventure Family keeps growing every single week, and I do not take that for granted for one day. We meet new people. We learn something new. We go somewhere new. This is a one of a kind journey and I am so glad you are on it with us.
Now let’s talk about what is happening — because there is a lot, and some of it cannot wait.
DRAKENSBERG 2027 — ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT
I need you to stop scrolling for a second.
We launched the Drakensberg Women’s Adventure Trip less than two weeks ago. We are already down to 5 spots. In April. The women who saw this and felt it — they moved. They did not wait for the right moment. They made this the right moment.
The Drakensberg is my homeland. I grew up in the Free State, South Africa, in the shadow of those mountains. For most of my childhood I was not allowed there — Black South Africans were excluded from national parks under apartheid. Those mountains were visible and unreachable at the same time. March 18 through 27, 2027 is when I go back. And I want you with me.
Here is what this journey looks like. You claim your spot. You get added to our private group chat where the real connection begins — gear, prep, expectations, and the kind of friendships that start before you ever board a plane. Then we meet in person. In Africa. On the mountain. That is where the magic is.
Five spots. If this is speaking to you, this is your sign.

GET OUTSIDE THIS WEEK — TWO HIKES
SATURDAY, APRIL 26 — Allen Lake, Lake Trailhead. 9:00 AM sharp. Easy morning, done in time for your day. State parks sticker required.
THURSDAY, APRIL 30 — Devil’s Lake, South Shore. 8:30 AM. Both bluffs. Come ready for a serious stair workout and a view that will remind you why you do this. State parks sticker required.
You do not need to be fast. You do not need to be experienced. You just need to show up. Ten minutes outside changes your chemistry. An hour with this community changes your week.
All participants join WAF group hikes at their own risk. Wisconsin Adventure Family is not liable for any injury or accident during the hike.
THE THING NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IN THE MENTAL HEALTH CONVERSATION
I tried something this week that stopped me in my tracks. Salt therapy and infrared sauna. I went to Beyond Salt Spa in Janesville — women owned, beautifully designed, and worth every mile of the drive. One session in the salt cave with far infrared heat and I came out feeling like myself again. Lighter. Clearer. Reset.
Here is why it works. Salt therapy opens your airways and reduces inflammation in your respiratory system — when you breathe better, your mind quiets. Infrared heat lowers cortisol, boosts serotonin, and improves sleep quality. And here is the one nobody talks about: chronic inflammation is directly linked to depression. Treat the body and you treat the mind. This is not a luxury. This is medicine.
Go book a session. Tell them Dini sent you. Beyond Salt Spa — Janesville, WI

FIND YOUR PEOPLE. FIND YOUR PEACE.
We live in a world that does not stop. There is always a reason not to rest, not to go outside, not to put yourself first. But peace is not going to find you. You have to go get it. You have to find your people, step outside, and be willing to take up space in the world that was made for you too.
Start with ten minutes today. Plan a hike this week. Find a group — because something shifts on a trail with other people. Strangers become part of your story. I see it every single week in this community.
If this newsletter spoke to you today, forward it to one woman in your life who has been waiting for a sign. She is looking for her people. Send her here.
Let’s get outside together.
With mud on my boots,
Dini
