We went to Utah for spring break and spent four days there; we missed Utah’s beautiful landscapes and hiking to the waterfalls; we went on an adventure every day. On the first day, we met up with the hike Baby Salt Lake City to hike to the fifth water hot spring; we hiked over 5 miles. It was a hot day, and the spring was either too hot or too cold. Fifth Water is located up Diamond Fork Canyon. The trailhead begins at the Three Forks parking area. The hike to the springs is approx. 2.5 miles, and the climb has a moderate elevation gain. We spent more hours hiking because we had walking toddlers. But the hike is worth it once you get to the springs.to learn more about this hike, here is the link with details:http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/utah/natural-waterpark-in-ut/

On the second day, we planned another hike with http://www.hikeitbaby.com to Stewart Falls. one of our favorite waterfalls in Utah.http://wanderookie.com/blog/2015/04/07/stewart-falls/ The hike was led by Susan Curtis Strayer, the blogger, and author of https://www.mountainmomandtots.com/, helping families explore outdoors.
Stewart Falls is one of northern Utah’s most scenic and photogenic waterfalls. It falls in two tiers and is over 200 feet tall. It is a moderate hike through a beautiful forest on the east side of Mt Timpanogos.

We stopped on the highway on our way back to Salt Lake City. This gorgeous waterfall is located in Provo Canyon, and you can see it from the road. I’ve lived in Utah for four years and am unsure why I never saw this waterfall. Bridal Veil Falls is a 607-foot-tall

This was a surprise waterfall; my daughter was excited to see it from a distance; she thought it was Stewart Falls and kept saying we went there, Mommy. She wore my shoes and made funny faces before returning to the city. Read more about bridal veil here:http://provo-canyon-parks.weebly.com/bridal-veil-falls.html
On day three, I went rock climbing with the co-founder of Adventure Mamas; read more about them here:https://adventuremamas.org/. It’s an initiative to promote women’s wellness. We did something casual and also brought the kids to explore the outdoors. We met at Storm Mountain by Cottonwood Canyon, and the kids quickly connected and started climbing while we were waiting and checking out the area.

We indeed found another waterfall. Utah is rad!
On day four, we went on a mommy and daughter adventure and kind of went slowly, just driving around and taking it all in; we drove up to Big Cottonwood Canyon and hopped off to check the hidden falls.

We had the waterfalls to ourselves, but the weather changed within 15 min from good to bad. It got chilly, and my daughter wanted to go home.

Adventure Day is a children’s picture book that I have written. I was inspired by the hike with baby friends that we have made; it’s about me and my daughter hiking to a waterfall in Wisconsin with our friends; the trail changed my mind on how I felt about Wisconsin and reminded me of Utah Canyon and waterfalls. We loved the Parfrey Glen, our favorite hiking trail in Wisconsin.

We bring Adventure Day everywhere and share our story with other adventure families. It is available online at http://www.adventuredaybook.com
Amazon. Com, Barnes and Noble, and other bookstores

As we continued with our journey the same day, it dropped down to 32 degrees from 75 degrees; it was gorgeous; the mountains were still covered with snow, and there was a little bit of snow on the trail; it was perfect weather for a hike, and a great day to escape the heat in the valley. Silver Lake is accessible to all and is an excellent way for children, seniors, and people with disabilities to enjoy the outdoors. The lake is located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. The lake is an excellent place for an easy and beautiful hike in summer. During the winter, it becomes part of the Solitude Nordic Center system of cross-country skiing trails. Silver Lake Loop Trail is a 0.8 mile

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.”
― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky
It was amazing to connect with all these adventure women on our trip. We planned this trip three months ahead, and I’m super lucky to have these women who always open their hearts and let me ruin their schedules. These are the women I look up to in life. Utah will always be close to my heart, and I will always answer the nature call when I miss the mountains and the pretty views every day.
