Sassy Cow Creamery is a farmstead milk bottling business that opened in 2008 on the Baerwolf family farm seven miles north of Sun Prairie. During the week, you can view milk bottling and cheesemaking through the large viewing windows in the store. They offer an entire product line and a large variety of other Wisconsin products, including cheese, bakery, chocolates, and more!
Sassy Cow offers weekday field trips for groups larger than 15 people from April through October. The cost is $4 per person, including a vanilla ice cream dish and a tour of the farm and creamery. These tours can be scheduled for Monday – Thursday, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m. Touring the creamery and the farm takes around an hour and fifteen minutes.

Baby Armani was lucky enough to be on a tour to Taste their chocolate milk. She loved it, and it was her first time getting chocolate milk.
During your visit, you can also enjoy a freshly made ice cream cone, dish, sundae, milkshake, or malt. I am not an ice cream lover, but I got myself a blueberry cheesecake and strawberry cheesecake in one scoop each and shared them with Bryce and Armani.
You can’t go wrong with places like this. My little girl had so much fun playing and riding all the tractors in the playground.

I thought she was having a blast until she saw these two little goats. She fell in love with them and fed them flowers and grass.

I highly recommend this place whether you are adults with or without kids; it’s a must to stop here; we live 8 miles from the sassy creamery store, so whenever I want to take her somewhere fun, I drive up here and bring home organic milk.

The creamery store is 20 minutes north of Madison and roughly an hour from Milwaukee. During the summer, they have a calf and other critters at the creamery for you to meet, and they have outdoor activities for the kids. I won’t say anything about cheese yet as I don’t eat cheese. They also have a large park shelter to enjoy a picnic lunch and dessert!
