Visiting Limpopo, South Africa for the first time.

Limpopo is a South African province bordering Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. Also is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River.

We traveled over 21 hours from Chicago to South Africa, we were super stocked to reach our destination, we escaped 20 degrees in Chicago, and landed safely at 95 degrees. After we landed at the airport, we drove 4 hours to this amazing lodge in Limpopo, I couldn’t take my eyes away from the stars, and moon, before I knew it the sun was rising it was morning.

The lodge was extremely amazing, the velvet and monkeys were running around, so many deer around the chalet. We were surrounded by beautiful mountains, and our chalet was next to the playground and a pool, It was a dream come true for my daughter. she forgot about White Christmas for a moment.

Being jetlag for days is not fun, but we just went with the flow. we had monkeys over our patio during lunchtime, and the window was open, so one was already inside the house.

I had my eyes on this mountain every time I stepped outside, gorgeous view.

The sunset was more quickly than we expected on our first day. The daytime flies when having fun, totally true. It’s a tradition for our family to watch the sunset on vacation no matter what.

We experienced this amazing time with my mother who also loves to travel and explore. the whole time we were in Limpopo it got extremely hot, the temperature rising to 35 degrees Celsius.

The lodge behind me is where we will be staying for our fifth anniversary day on Boxing Day December 26, I can’t wait.
